Keep in your mind that your visitor is looking for ample of knowledge so provide sufficient  knowledge to him/her. You can also go with the Recent Post/Recent Comment. You can also put the Featured post widget/slider on top of the page.

Related post/You might like this play the vital Role to keep your visitor stay on your blog. You can provide it on starting of post or below the post

5. Next/Previous Post

This is best way to keep your visitor within your blog. Provide Next/Previous post after the comment box of below the post body

6. No Ads Between The Articles

Don’t place any ads between the post body because the reader face the problem to read your post

7. No Pop-up Ads

As in told earlier keep your layout clean so don’t place any pop-up ads from any publisher to your blog it annoys the reader
